TikTok does not give you a clean way to save a video. The in-app download button burns a watermark across the frame and stamps the creator's username into the corner, which makes the clip close to useless anywhere outside TikTok itself. Videos the creator marked as non-downloadable do not even offer that much. This page fills the gap: paste a public TikTok link and you get the original MP4 back, the same file TikTok streams into your feed, with no overlay on it.

Quality depends on what the creator uploaded. Most TikToks are recorded at 1080p and we return that resolution when it exists, falling back to the best version TikTok kept for the post. Alongside the video you get the audio track on its own as an MP3, which helps when the sound matters more than the footage.

A clip carrying a TikTok watermark gets pushed down by Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, both of which demote recycled content they can identify. A clean file gives the same video a fair shot on each platform.

Saving a video for your own offline viewing is generally fine. Republishing someone else's work, monetising it, or passing it off as your own is not. Copyright stays with the creator no matter how you got the file.
The usual causes are a private account, a deleted post, a region-locked video, or a mistyped link. Open the URL in a browser first. If TikTok cannot show it to you, we cannot fetch it either.
There is no daily quota. We do cap how quickly requests can arrive from one connection, so pasting dozens of links back to back may ask you to wait a minute.
Only if the creator uploaded it that way, which is rare. TikTok re-encodes most uploads to 1080p or lower, and we cannot return quality that does not exist on their servers.
